Living In Daily Grace

Grace is something that cannot be bought, it is something that can only be extended from one person to another. Grace is defined as favor or kindness shown without regard to the worth or merit of the one who receives it, and despite what that same person deserves (Wikipedia). Grace is almost always associated with mercy, love, compassion, and patience as the source of help and with deliverance from distress. Grace is given to us because of God’s love and compassion towards us, and there is nothing we can do to receive it, but accept him as our Lord and Savior.
Grace can deliver us from depression, worry, and anxiety because it shows us that everything that we need is in the hands of God. Matthew 6:25 tells us “take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” (KJV). Grace provides us a safe haven from worrying about our daily needs, for it tells us that God already knows what we need. Grace is God’s love and favor towards us, and it provides for us a peace of mind that no matter what we need God will provide it for us. Scripture tells us to take no thought for tomorrow for it shall take thought for the things of itself (Matthew 6:34, KJV). If scripture tell us that we shouldn’t be thinking on tomorrow’s trouble, then we must do all that we can to live in today’s grace.
Living one day at a time teaches us to focus on making today the best that we can. If we are contingent in living or pondering on tomorrow, then how much time are we really giving today? We cannot create a great today if we are constantly focused on tomorrow troubles. Most of the things that we worry about never happen, because of the grace that God provides for us every single day. Living in daily grace teaches us to celebrate, enjoy and live in peace daily, knowing that God has tomorrow all planned and worked out for us. For today just simply focus on today.
How do we learn to focus and live in daily grace? We learn to live in daily grace by praying and communicating with God. In prayer we make our request be made known to God. In prayer we take our burdens to the Lord and seek his guidance and direction. Praying daily about the things that you need not only builds your faith, but it makes your aware of God’s grace for you daily. Prayer tells God that you understand that you need him and cannot experience his grace without him. Prayer provides us the opportunity to talk with God and listen for his returned answer to our request or need.
Prayer helps us to activate our faith and receive our grace. We must remember that God knows everything we stand in need of and he has promised us that he will supply all our needs. If he promised to provide for us, then he will, and he has provided his grace, so we can see his provision in our lives. Live on daily grace and release your need to control everything going on in your life. When you release your control then remarkable things can happen.
